Aim and Scope The Journal of Kyrgyzstan Studies (JKS) aims to publish original empirical research, theoretical analyses, and reviews that examine Kyrgyzstan’s social, cultural, historical, educational, and political structures through scientific methods. With a regional studies perspective, the journal promotes the production of scientific knowledge on Kyrgyzstan.

Accepted fields: Education, Psychology, Sociology, History, Anthropology, Political Science, Social Policy, Geography, Literature, and Philology.

Not considered for review:

  • Studies not directly related to Kyrgyzstan

  • Popular or descriptive texts lacking scientific methodology

  • Works violating academic ethics

  • Technical/engineering-oriented texts without social science context
