Licensing

All articles published in the Journal of Kyrgyzstan Studies are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. This is one of the most permissive licenses in the open-access landscape and is widely regarded as the international standard for academic publishing.

The CC BY 4.0 license grants users the following rights. Share: to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format. Adapt: to remix, transform, and build upon the material. These rights apply to any purpose, including commercial use.

The only condition of the license is attribution. Users must give appropriate credit to the author, indicate the source and the license, provide a link to the license, and note any changes made. This should be done in a reasonable manner but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses them or their use.

JKS values wide dissemination, reuse, and building of new knowledge upon its authors' work. The choice of the CC BY 4.0 license is the concrete expression of this principle.
