Author Guidelines
Article Types The Journal of Kyrgyzstan Studies (JKS) accepts the following types of articles:

Research Article: Original empirical studies designed around a specific research question, with data collection and analysis.

Review / Theoretical Study: Works that systematically or critically examine the literature on a specific topic and present theoretical discussions.
Writing and Formatting Guidelines

Research article: 4,000–8,000 words
-
Review / theoretical study: 5,000–9,000 words (including references)

Page size: A4
-
Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
-
Line spacing: 1.5
Abstract and Keywords
-
Abstract length: 150–250 words
-
Abstracts in at least two languages (one must be English)

3–5 keywords
Citation and References
-
APA 7th Edition citation style is used.

In-text citations and references must follow APA 7 rules.

Use of reference management software (Zotero, Mendeley) is recommended.
Article Structure

Research articles: IMRaD (Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion & Conclusion)
-
Review/theoretical studies: IMRaD not required, but logical coherence must be ensured.
