Publication Ethics The Journal of Kyrgyzstan Studies (JKS) follows the principles and guidelines of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) in all publication processes. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to act with academic integrity, impartiality, and transparency. Any ethical violation leads to rejection or retraction.

Plagiarism Policy All submissions are checked with plagiarism detection software (iThenticate, Turnitin, etc.). The acceptable similarity rate is max. 20% (excluding references). Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, and salami slicing are considered violations.

Conflict of Interest

  • Authors: Must declare any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest.

  • Reviewers: Must inform the editors and withdraw if conflicts exist.

  • Editors: Do not participate in evaluation of conflicted submissions; an independent editor is assigned.
